Experis IT Recruiting is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for our excellent and stable client in Austin TX. This position will last 6+ months in duration with likely extensions. - In your role as a Sr. Security Engineer you will work with a team of security engineers to ensure the IT platform is secure. This role will require your skills as a key contributor to help lead, define, author and execute best of class security policy and practices for payment card services. - This is a fast-pace environment, where change is the norm, and the team will be dependent upon your ability to navigate the issues that could potentially impede their productivity, and keep everything moving. Responsibilities: - Ensure the card services platform is secure. - Solid foundation in general cryptographic concepts and implementations. - Strong experience with financial services, payment processing operations, security compliance and security best practices especially for branded cards (MasterCard and Visa). - Provide best practice guidance and direction to engineering teams across the software development lifecycle and enforce system security engineering processes to be applied to multiple projects. - Provide innovative solutions by investigating, analyzing, and resolving highly complex security-related questions and problems - Ensure program compliance to information sharing initiatives, identity & privacy (PII) issues, information security and assurance policies (PCI, SOX) and other federal policies. - Participate and lead internal and external audits (PCI, SOX, client sponsored). - Partner with corporate security to ensure security compliance across the entire enterprise domain. - Author security policy and lead initiatives to ensure their execution. Minimum Qualifications: - BS in a technical discipline - 7 to 10 years experience in a technical Information Security Engineer role at a company with global operations- - Experience in several of the following technologies: Nessus, PGP, IDS/IPS, PKI / CA administration, WEP, WPA, IPSec / SSL based VPNs - Experience on application infrastructure components such as Application Firewalls, Content Management Systems, Portal Management, Application Servers, and multi-tiered architecture across Demilitarized Zones. - Experience working in a large corporate enterprise environment. - All other duties as assigned.
