Windows Engineer Morristown, NJ OR Owings Mills, MD 6+ month contract – fulltime hire possible We are currently seeking a Windows Engineer who is an expert in Windows technologies for our direct customer who is one of the world's leading players in the development, manufacture, and sale of first-class generic pharmaceuticals. Overall focus is to achieve Desktop client’s, Servers and Active Directory reliability, availability, supportability and manageability under the guidance of the Global IT strategy, standards, policies and procedures, in order to support the business operating needs, across all sites (global). The responsibilities for this position include, but are not restricted to, design, documentation, testing and training of current and new functionality and systems for the business and to support the infrastructure, Third level incident handling, problem management, technical systems management, systems analyses, proactive maintenance, change management, required validation IQ/OQ executions as well as project participation as relevant. Position holder must also ensure, and contribute to, proper communication and documentation within the focus area. Main responsibilities: Providing Third level support for Clients, Servers, Active directory including: Participate in the design, documentation, training and implementation of various standards, systems and infrastructure components with other Information Technology professionals. Analyze and design hardware and software solutions to meet the needs of the company. In depth ability to design, develop, diagnose and automate processes in various scripting languages. In depth knowledge of Active directory design, implementation and theory. In depth knowledge of various operating systems client and server. In depth knowledge of VMWare, Citrix and Hyper-V Desired Skills: Microsoft SCCM knowledge Microsoft Windows operating systems: Client and Server In depth Active directory knowledge IT Service Management - ITIL GPO design, Maintenance, testing, implementation Scripting and Batch programming (Batch, Powershell, Visual Basic) Experience writing technical design documents Good level of English language
