Lab Technician Duties Deploy large number of equipment quickly Monitor and use the case-tracking tool for recreate work instructions. Provision and deploy fully functional servers and switches with correct OS/IOS images and firmware. OS installation for all platforms. Complete and resolve cases within established service level agreement times. Update and maintain the inventory tracking management and System for all equipment within labs. Maintain lab cleanliness. Install, rack and remove equipment within labs. Performance routine maintenance to servers, routers, switches, and storage. Build and maintain lab computers. Provide general lab infrastructure support. Skills Effective written and oral communication. Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with difficult people. Convey, receive, process, and retain technical information in a short period of time. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established service level agreements. Motivated, self-starter with the desire and capacity to learn from simple to complex networking tasks. Experience in determining device connectivity. Able to access up to 6 feet overhead using a ladder. Able to lift up to 25 pounds with no assistance. Experience working in a lab environment.
