The Job Details are as follows:- Role : Senior Systems Engineer Location : Silver Spring, MD Duration : Full Time Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Serve as a primary point of contact for the availability, scalability and performance of our mission critical applications Develop custom infrastructure and systems to monitor custom applications in a Linux/Window environment Work closely with development teams to ensure that platforms are designed with "operability" in mind Performs application troubleshooting. Performs batch/job processing control including Automated and Manual processes. Assist in the management and upgrade of critical systems. Be available for off-hours support in order to provide troubleshooting and support to systems. Qualifications: Understanding of all components of a modern web application stack, including front-end, networking, database software and development software knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and organizational ability. Experience supporting and troubleshooting multi-tier, high-volume, production web installations. Minimum 5 years experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows administration. Familiarity with Linux internals. Familiarity with server hardware platforms. Systems and automation programming skills.
