Amigo Forestry Service, Inc, Russellville, AR, is now hiring 68 temporary foresorkers to work various counties in MS, AR, TX, LA, MO, TN, AL from 10/1/2012 to 6/30/2013. Manual itinerant work hand tree seedling planting, pre-commercial thinning, herbicide application, seedling pulling, boundary line maintenance, brush clearing, and pruning to reforest and maintain timber lands. Random, upon-suspicion and post-accident drug testing conducted at employer's expense. Production standard of 2,000 trees planted correctly per 8-hr. day after one week of on the job training. Must lift and carry 50 lbs. Extensive walking over rough terrain. Work is in adverse weather. No education or experience needed. Requires physical stamina. Workers must arrive at first job site at own expense. Workers pay own room and board. Overnight travel required. Employer provides transportation between worksites. Optional transportation provided to daily worksites from a central location at a cost of $35 per week per worker, payroll deducted. Employer provides all tools and safety gear at no cost. Employees are reimbursed the reasonable costs incurred for transportation to the first worksite in the first workweek. Employer may pay piece rates of $18.00 - $40.00 per 1,000 trees planted correctly, or prevailing wage in the area of intended employment, whichever is higher. Hourly wages range from $10.32 to $12.74 per hour, depending on location. Overtime may be offered and, if worked, will be paid at time and one half the regular hourly rate. Employer may offer discretionary bonuses. Work schedule 8 hrs. Mon.-Fri. 40 hrs/wk. Workers who hold or obtain a MSPA certificate with driving authorization may transport workers and may be offered additional work hours.
