Education: Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Requirements: Training and 5 years of experience in developing parts and assemblies in a CAD package such as AutoCad, ProE, or Solidworks. Experience with statistics and Design of Experiments Experience working within a team and across multiple sites Desired Experience Experience with medical device equipment Experience with compact electronic devices Experience with CMMI Responsibilities Responsible for the mechanical design of medical ultrasound transducers Create, document, and analyze mechanical parts, tools, and assemblies using a solid modeling CAD package. Work closely with vendors and the factory to ensure quality and reliability from concept design through stable production. Deliver new product, process and tooling designs on schedule while meeting performance requirements and delivering prototype hardware needs.
