2 x Hospitality/Maintenance summer seasonal staff required for French Holiday Chateau - £175 per person per week Person Specification: We are looking for 2 Hospitality/Maintenance summer seasonal staff to work in our holiday Chateau in South West France 6 days a week. Both positions are to start ASAP and will finish on the 6th October 2012. We can only offer 1 bedroom, therefore the roles would only suit either a couple or 2 friends applying together. We would welcome applications from people who have already done seasonal work in ski chalets/hotels and who are available now for summer work. Ideal candidates: - must be fluent in English - hold a full UK driving licence (1 person essential, both people an advantage) - have a professional approach to work and experience in hospitality - French desirable but not essential - please be aware you will be living and working in rural France (we are a 20 minute walk outside of La Rochefoucauld and 8 miles from Angouleme) The Role: Your duties will include the following: - Food preparation: assisting making the food, serving at table, clearing away and washing up (with dishwashers) - Cleaning guest bedrooms, changing beds, doing laundry - Gardening: watering garden/plants, weeding, grass cutting (sit on mower) - Swimming Pool: keeping pool safe and clean including loungers, shades & tables - Transporting guests to/from local airports & train station on changeover day - Other miscellaneous tasks might be: grocery shopping, general DIY, put rubbish out/trips to bottle bank, washing cars, keeping general areas clean & tidy etc. - Providing high levels of customer service to ensure guests have the best holiday possible - Although you will be assigned a rota of duties, you must be able to demonstrate initiative to carry out ad-hoc tasks as and when required by John & Alex The Company: L’Age Baston is a small family business running holiday courses (Painting, Walking, French, Cooking, Yoga, Creative Writing) from our Chateau in south west France. The building itself is an impressive 17th Century chateau with beautiful grounds and is a wonderful place to live and work. Many of our guests come back year after year and love the way they are made to feel part of the L’Age Baston family. We all eat together outside in the sunshine and each evening is dinner party style. Group numbers vary week to week (6-18) but on average we have around 10 guests each week. There are 8 bedrooms in the main house and next to it the ‘Guardian’s House’ with 3 bedrooms and the art studio. We have 1 minibus and 1 people carrier. We also have 2 cats, 2 donkeys and 1 sheep. Benefits: - We will pay £175 per person per week paid monthly into a UK bank account.
