Group Description Metrics & Analytics team is responsible for business performance management and analytics focused towards achieving the division's overall strategy. The team is focused on the creation and development of a unique set of analytical tools that enable senior management to examine drivers of the business. The team produces monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports relating to topics surrounding Trade Volumes, Operations Metrics, Exposure reports, Balance Sheet, Revenues, Expenses, and Headcount etc. Role Description The individual will be responsible for working with the product coverage teams, business CAOs/BUMs, regional CAOs and other support groups to build QlikView and other automated solutions around business dashboards/metrics to monitor the overall performance and strategy, monthly financial reporting, headcount tracking, monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts and the monitoring of performance against these budgets, special projects and presentations. While this is a technical role, the individual should also show a strong interest in the financial division as this will be a hybrid between finance and technology by building technical solutions in an effort to enrich data and provide the most detailed analytics to each business. The individual will have opportunities to also transition into a product coverage role at the conclusion of the strategic technology solution. The individual has a unique opportunity to liaise with senior management, product management, multiple groups in the Financial Division (Product Control, Balance Sheet Control, Regulatory Reporting and Planning & Analysis), Risk Management, Human Resources, etc. Required Skills - 6+ years of working in various data management initiatives - Extremely Good Analytical Skills - Strong Database fundamentals and data modeling knowledge - Thorough understanding of hierarchies, and data aggregation - Experience in modeling financial schemas - Experience in documenting the models using tools such as Erwin, ER Studio - Strong experience in dimensional modeling - Thorough understanding of ODS, Data Warehouse, Datamarts and Cubes - Strong SQL Background Data Analysis/Reporting: - Strong Data Analysis skills - Proficiency in using Excel and other utilities for Data Analysis - Experience in one or more reporting/analytics tools such as Qlikview, Tableau, Spotfire, BO Xcelsius Data Procurement/Integration: - Strong conceptual and design ability in ETL area - Experience with one or more ETL tools like Ab Initio, Informatica - Experience developing ETL process to load dimensions and hierarchy data - Experience with Database application development (Stored Procedures, PL/SQL) - Strong UNIX, Perl and Shell scripting Others: - 2+ Years of financial industry background is mandatory - Good background working with quantitative data - Developed Autosys JILs Pluses - Exposure to Qlikview - Experience in Oracle 22486 Please see our complete list of jobs at: www.rmscorp.com
