Currently we are looking for Graphic Designer to volunteer in our office in North London The Graphic designer is responsible for the production of marketing materials that will get the charity’s message across with high visual impact and hence help achieve the corporate goal. He/she will work on a huge variety of creative projects, including the corporate website, building project booklet, corporate newsletter, etc. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develop graphics and layouts for new brochures, leaflets, company newsletter and the Internet website. 2. Estimate the time the projects will require, and provide a cost quotation keeping within set budgets. 3. Proofread and prepare designs to be sent to print. 4. Work independently as well as a part of the communication’s team to deliver required marketing materials within tight timeframes. 5. Ensure that all design materials are in line with the corporate identity across all departments. 6. Manage changes for marketing materials, both web and print based. 7. Identify opportunities to improve the quality of existing and new design projects. 8. Help with fundraising activities once or twice per week. 9. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1. A strong academic record or relevant equivalent experience. 2. A creative outlook toward design projects. 3. Knowledge of Graphic Design software such as Indesign, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. 4. Good communication, along with some negotiation skills. 5. Basic IT skills. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher desirable (training will be provided). 6. Knowledge of working within budgets (training will be provided). 7. Willingness to work a flexible schedule as and when required. 8. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and portraying a positive company image. WORKING CONDITIONS A normal indoor office environment. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm- with a lunch hour. We expect all our staff members to be punctual.
