Design Drafter - Electromechanical
We are currently recruiting for an Electromechanical Design Drafter for our client who is a world leader in the design and manufacture of power generation equipment, including Power Command Standby and Prime Power systems. Based from their Stamford Branch you will be an experienced Electromechanical Design Drafter; you will assist engineers in the development of complex designs and detailed mechanical and electrical drawings of components and assemblies using CAD systems and Pro/Engineer Wildefire 4. As the Electromechanical Design Drafter you will also be responsible for creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOM’s), Parametric Data Management (PDM) and provide assistance in the assembly and maintenance of engineering files and other technical files. We are looking for Electrmechanical Design Drafters with strong experience in the design and drafting of large rotating electrical machines and you should have particular experience in design drafting of: Non-rotating parts of the electrical machine (stator) such as: steel structure Active parts of the electrical machine such as: stator core and coil windings Auxiliary parts such as: terminal boxes and busbars. Electromechanical Design Drafter Key responsibilities: Work directly with mechanical and electrical engineers and lead designers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images. Create finished detail drawings from actual components (machined or fabricated) as required. Proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and capable of calculating tolerance stack-ups and verifying design fit-up. Ability to prepare clear, complete and accurate detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches, change orders or notes To organise the manufacture of prototype and pre-production components by interacting with suppliers, manufacturing and assembly personnel during the design and execution of the project with occasional travel to their locations Ability to interface with various people throughout the organization and communicate potential problems. Hours Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (37.5 hour week) Contract: 22 weeks
