Are you a SAP Finance Architect? The Strategy & Architecture Team is looking for a SAP Architect to join the team, with a strong background with deploying SAP for Finance, technical knowledge of SAP is essential with knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, Prince 2 and TOGAF 9 a bonus, this role sits at the heart of the BBC’s Technology, Distribution & Archive organisation and is responsible for managing the BBC’s technology evolution, architecture, security and continuity. The team ensures that all technology investments are driven by a coordinated strategy, investing in enterprise wide standardised capabilities where ever possible.   As part of the Technology Strategy & Architecture team, the BBC’s SAP Architect will architect the implementation of the BBC’s SAP estate, giving practical advice to other technology professionals in projects, operations, design and delivery; designing flexible, supportable and deliverable SAP platforms and solutions with minimal customisation from “vanilla”.   Within the role you will work across geographic and organisational boundaries to design enterprise wide standardised solutions, taking considerations such as information management, process simplification, business continuity, ease of use, and insourcing / outsourcing of capability into the design – thereby ensuring that the impact of each “piece of the jigsaw” on the overall picture is understood.   It will also be important to build strong relationships with SAP, systems integrators, technology suppliers, business process outsource providers and other third parties.  It is essential that you remain up-to-date with potential solutions, gaining a good grasp of where they might fit in the BBC’s technology roadmap. We are looking for individuals who can combine “blue sky” thinking with the ability to “roll up his or her sleeves”, making solution design decisions across new and existing SAP system components, interfaces, software and applications data and infrastructure.
