Applied Psychologist
Our customer requires an Applied Psychologist, preferably with a background in organisation, and or social psychology to join the Training and Personnel team. Main Duties/ Responsibilities � Technically manage Industry lead work packages and have overall responsibility for delivery and exploitation � Liaise with a range of Stakeholders across the organisation to ensure the programme of work is coherent and meets customer requirements � Use own technical expertise and advice to support the analysis, structuring and resolution of problems in order to contribute to difficult, wide-ranging and complex defence issues from an organisation and or social psychological perspective � Provide guidance to higher level decision makers in the form of impartial advice drawing on available research and technical expertise � Provide technical input to projects and studies as necessary � Work effectively as part of a team from a range of disciplines including civilians and military officers � Support project teams in identifying psychological contributions and shortfalls in projects The ideal candidate will have: � A good honours degree (1st class or 2:1) in psychology, or organisational psychology � Minimum of 3 years applied psychology with experience of working on organisational and behavioural change projects or programmes � Understanding of social and behavioural aspects of Knowledge Management principles � Proven track record of applying a systems approach and successful project delivery � Experience of translating customer requirements into research projects/programmes � Track record of using psychological approaches to analyse, structure and solve complex applied research problems � Experience of relevant qualitative and/or quantitative research methods and statistics � A proven record as a good team player with strong technical report writing and communication skills � Excellent inter-personal skills with proven experience of interacting with staff and customers of all levels � Motivated and agile with a flexible approach to problem solving � Proven experience of delivering to quality, time and cost � Current SC security clearance Please reply with your CV attached quoting J12108 All applications for this requirement must be received by close of play 12th July 2012 CMC is an equal opportunities employer.
