Site Acquisition Manager

Right now we are assisting one of our clients in the search for a Wireless Construction Site Acquisition Manager. This position reports to a Project Manager or Market Lead, and is responsible for a subset of site acquisition, leasing, zoning, and permitting activities related to wireless projects within a geographic market or region. These projects typically involve turn-key site development services to build or modify wireless networks. Additional responsibilities include: Achieve measurable results and report against financial and non-financial performance metrics related to various site acquisition activities Metrics typically include: schedule adherence, budget adherence, quality, and document control/tracking This position will typically manage 200-300 sites depending on the project. Assist the Market Lead in hiring, developing, and leading a team of site acquisition personnel and sub-contractors Serve as the primary internal manager for all assigned site acquisition activities Be a subject matter expert on all facets of the leasing, zoning, and permitting processes in the market Understand internal and external expectations related to schedule, cost, processes, & quality Drive the site acquisition team and sub-contractors to meet these objectives Ensure the project scope is clearly defined and understood by all internal and external site acquisition personnel to avoid scope creep and minimize changes Establish and maintain a pool of qualified sub-contractors Ensure sufficient sub-contractor resources are available at all times to meet build plan objectives Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate significant expertise and/or experience related to large-scale wireless program deployments in a leadership capacity. Requirements for this position are as follows: BS degree preferred Minimum 8-10 years of related experience, including supervisory experience. Areas of emphasis include: • Project Planning, Internal & External Resource Planning and Leadership • In-Depth Understanding of Project Budgeting and Cost Accounting Methodologies • Experience Leading a Team of Site Acquisition and Construction Personnel • Intimate Knowledge of Wireless Deployment Methodologies and Processes within the Market to Include: • Risk Management / Mitigation and Creative Problem Solving Skills • Extensive Experience with Network Upgrades and/or Overlays: CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, WiMax • Basic Understanding of Various RF Configurations, MW Backhaul and Installations, and Fiber Backhaul and Installations This is a long term contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.
