Project Manager - Process LOCATION: Pasadena, CA TRAVEL: KEY SKILLS: 1) 7+ years of project management experience 2) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Operations Research or other related field. 3) Ability to effectively work in a highly complex and matrixed team environment 4) Excellent written, verbal and leadership skills. Can lead group discussions on conversion approach. PREFERRED: 1) Experience in Revenue Services (billing, collections, cash posting, customer service, vendor relations, etc) and the healthcare billing cycle Process: Has to have familiarity with the Revenue Services processes (healthcare billing, collections, correspondence, cash posting, customer service, etc) POSITION PURPOSE The Project Manager - Process creates and executes project work plans for CBO Implementation Process project and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the organization. The Project Manager III will directly interface with Revenue Services’ internal customers at the Manager, Director and Senior Director Levels. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Ø Follows a defined project management methodology, accountable for the detailed planning of steps and resources needed to meet objectives. Ø Monitors and prepares reports to ensure work is progressing to meet the deliverables on time and on or under budget. Ø Manages multiple medium or large, complex, capital and non-capital Revenue Services projects simultaneously. Ø Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Ø Effectively applies methodology and enforces project standards. Ensures that in-flights reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all projects. Ø Manages project-related risks and issues. Ø Solves conflicts and issues in a timely manner, escalating to manager as appropriate. Ø Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Ø Manages project budget. Ø Ensures quality control for all projects. Ø Effectively communicates relevant project information to leadership. Ø Provides leadership to project team. Ø Provides leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, as well as manages work of outside consultants. Ø Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. Ø Strong interpersonal and relationship-building-skills Ø Executes vision of Program Leadership and Project Leader for the project work effort. QUALIFICATIONS Academic: Ø Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Operations Research or other related field. Experience: Ø 2+ years of Revenue Services experience. Ø 7+ years project management experience Ø Project management experience in health care Ø Project management experience in Revenue Services (billing, collections, cash posting, customer service, vendor relations, etc) preferred. Certification: Ø PMI certification not required for this specific role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ø Possess thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools. Ø Possess strong and tested project management skills, including risk management. Ø Proven abilities in problem management, process analysis and root cause analysis. Ø Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ø Ability to work in a complex and matrixed team environment. Ø Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines. Ø Skills in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Ø A passionate desire to grow, learn and advance. Ø Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design. Ø Possess quality presentation skills and experience in presenting complex plans and designs to executive-level management. Ø Intimate knowledge of processes surrounding healthcare revenue services a plus.
