Position: Support Worker- LookAhead Salary £ 16,000 - £24,200 per annum Job Reference SW/LA/HR Working Hours 35hrs per week Status Fixed Term to 31st March 2013 The LookAhead project run by the Wise Group on behalf of North Ayrshire Council works with people who are unemployed with health issues and/or disabilities within North Ayrshire. Project offers a wide range of support and advice to assist people back into work, training and voluntary work. The role will involve the provision of direct support and guidance to clients referred by Allied Health Professionals (e.g. NHS Community Mental Health teams, Primary care teams), JobCentre Plus, social services, addictions services and local employability & support agencies within North Ayrshire. Experience of working with & knowledge of barriers facing people with multiple disabilities including Mental Health issues, Learning & Physical Disabilities and Addictions is essential. The jobholder will be required to deal with clients, agencies and potential employers on a regular basis. Therefore, good interpersonal skills, recruitment or guidance experience is essential.
