We are seeking a teaching assistant to work at a PRU in North West London for long term opportunity to start in September. The centre provides an alternative to mainstream education for 11-16 aged pupils who have been excluded from school. These pupils are referred by the surrounding local authorities, having a variety of Special Education Needs including behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, ADHD, Asperger Syndrome and OCD. You should be an experienced teaching assistant, ideally experienced working with 11-16 BESD pupils in small group settings and have good ability to build relationships with students presenting with challenging behaviour. You will be expected to embrace the therapeutic and holistic approach promoted throughout the unit. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident teachign assistant to join a successful team of multi-professional staff within a caring, friendly and safe environment.
