Hi - I am looking to build a website similar in functionality to Basically I want users with the relevant product/asset to: a) be able to register and post an ad on the website which is then viewable b) be able to search through various parameters within the website for the particular product/asset that they require Although I have a particular idea in mind, I will require design of the page templates etc to ensure simplicity, user-friendliness and a professional look and feel. The website needs to be able to be updated and edited at my discretion, therefore a suitable user-friendly platform (eg:CSS) is essential. With every intention of growing the website's traffic incrementally, the template needs to have the capacity to grow with the traffic and registrations. The ability to implement a payment system at a later date is also crucial in the initial design and development, as will be space for monetizing the website eg: ad banners along the sides. As this will be a work in progress, there is every opportunity that the developer/designer will remain involved in the project in an ongoing basis, if their work is successful and the team works well together. I currently have no budget set as I don't want quality to be compromised by budget limitations, however I do not expect to pay over 5-10k for the initial product. The website needs to look and feel professional, stable and user-friendly at all times, this is the most important condition. I'm sure you have many questions, and I am currently completing a document that should answer some of these questions, however please don't hesitate to ask me anything. I used carsales.com.au as an example for its functionality and easy use. Design and development is part of the project, therefore I intend on constructing design plans, templates and the site flow plan with the developer and working with their designers. Regarding platforms and codes etc. I am open to suggestions, however please note the finished product will need to be able to handle growth.
