Set up simple iPad app by porting our current HTML5 Javascript to iOS iPad app
We have a current working HTML5 Javascript rendering Open Street Map in a regular browser. On top of the Open Street Map we have a script that uses an open API (Json) to fetch some location data and overlay the datapoints Points Of Interest (POI's) on the map. We now want to use this code to set up a very simple iPad app version 1, to build on for the future. We will give you the current HTML5 Javascript for you to work on. You will take the current script and port it into a iPad app. This app will just open with a full screen with Open Street Map (where the users is) and then the POI's overlaid on the map. We might give you access to our Apple Developer Account to upload it as well. Similar apps on the appstore: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/openmaps/id359719250?mt=8 http://itunes.apple.com/no/app/nearby-norway/id382423958?mt=8 ------- Potential more work later: The next step in this project is to add more POI information on the map from other API's like Meetup.com, Facebook Events, Twitter (Tweets with geolocation) etc. We will be interested to also see if you can do more interesting things with the script.
