I have a large text file with blocks of codes Each block will start with an exit in first line and starts with same pattern in the subsequent lines. Each block has 8 lines total This is what i want in the script: remove extra white space Read the text file Check for each block for matching 8 patterns in 8 lines Error out the line number if the pattern does not match If all pattern matches, give a count of total patterns store the cleaned files for white spaces in a output file For testing your script, I will give sample input text file that will error and that will not error. I think this can be done in an hour. Bid only you can finish in an hour
