Progressive Engineering is looking for a Construction Manager (Civiel) for a project in Africa. The project will start at the end of this year and last about two years. You will be working for a leading food company on the extension of a factory and it's surroundings. The Job: • Project management assisting activities; Contract administration, budget control, progression control, rapporting on progress. • Construction management and site supervision; initiating meetings with the installation management of the plant, machinery and production. Meetings with design consultants, leadership of local contractors, anticipating on risks, supervision of all construction work, utilities, installations, quality and safety. Rapporting is an important element of this job. About You: • 10+ years relevant experience • Bsc degree • Excellent skills in French and English is a must • Experience with projects in Africa is desirable, but not a must. • Exerience in dealing with local contractors • Strong improvisation skills • Strong rapporting skills • Good team-player • Good communication skills • Go-getter, energetic. • Willing to stay in Africa for 2 years.
