Senior Electronics Engineer � contract Company: An innovative defence sector company urgently requires an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join their team of expert engineers due to winning several new contracts, and continued expansion. Role: 1. Designing and supporting circuits using: Phillips/NXP ARM7 Processors: LPC2138, LPC2468, Xilinx, Microblaze soft-core processors, PIC Processors 2. High Level System and circuit design for: RF Communications, RF Inhibition, Remotely Operated Vehicle Systems 3. Producing documentation: Requirement, functional, design and test specifications 4. Testing: Hardware, Systems, Proof of Concept 5. Work with PLM and ERP systems as required to ensure Manufacturing have access to complete, current and correct data. 6. Interface with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure product transitions smoothly to production 7. Managing the electronics aspects of new projects, including advising other disciplines and supporting junior engineers. 8. Manage compliance testing + approval to commercial, Military and Defence Standards 9. Troubleshoot and improve existing products 10. Undertake any other reasonable task required by the Line Manager. Candidate qualifications and experience: 1. Degree in Maths, Science or an Engineering Subject 2. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role 3. FPGA Design Techniques 4. Digital Signal Processing Design Techniques 5. High Speed ADC/DAC Design 6. Understanding of Radio Communications eg. Spread-spectrum/GSM/CDMA/WiFi 7. Ethernet/USB/Wireless embedded implementations 8. PCB layout using Altium Designer 9. VHDL 10. C Programming Language 11. Design of Safety Critical Systems 12. Support Safety Cases for Military Customers 13.
