Job Title: Web Editor Our Client, who operates within the Public Sector, is looking for an Interim Web Editor. You will be positioned to work within their Customer Services Division. Their offices are based in North-West London, close to local bus and rail links. Job Specification The post-holder will be required to Develop, write, edit, monitor and review content for the Council’s website in cooperation with the Council’s service areas and departments under the supervision of the Web Project Manager. You’ll also manage editorial control of web content and assist in the production of a high quality website, that will effectively provide information on and access to council services for our residents. As the Web Editor you will contribute to a content strategy that will influence how content is published across the Brent website. Person Specification Public Sector experience is desirable but not essential. You will be required to have good analytical and problem solving skills, alongside excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and develop good working relationships, at all levels including senior management. You will need to show the ability to work as a team and with non-expert content owners to produce and proof-read web copy to meet editorial standards and publishing procedures. The post holder needs knowledge and experience of creating usable and accessible websites to meet government standards. And very importantly be able to provide content for, design of, or development of, simple online forms or other types of web interactivity and ability to develop these skills. Desirable: Good understanding of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and in depth understanding of the User Experience.
