A highly successful TEKsystems' customer is currently looking for an Entry/Junior Level Java Developer to join their highly collaborative and brilliantly successful 8-member team of Software Engineers in Broomfield! The ideal candidate will have [close to] 2 years of professional experience through a culmination of course work, internships, and/or 6-months to 1 year of professional experience within the IT field. The individual will be responsible for assisting the Software Engineering team in the development of Java-based web applications for a profitable e-commerce site in a start up atmosphere. The technical environment is composed of Java, Spring, Hibernate, Apache Tomcat, running on a Linux and FreeBSD. The team runs an Agile Development methodology, requiring close collaboration amongst members of the development team, quality assurance team and occasionally with business owners. Qualifications/Minimum Requirements: 1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science 2. Solid understanding of the Core Java 1.6 technologies 3. Desire to write bug free code 4. Eagerness to learn new technologies (ex: cloud, Cassandra, JVM based languages) 5. Strong communication skills, both written and oral 6.
