Construction QA/QC Engineer
We are currently sourcing a Construction QA/QC Engineer to join our client's Cumbria project office on an Agency contract hire basis for a period of 6 months plus. Roles & Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with prime contract Quality Assurance requirememnts Expedite and review of Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) from the Subcontractors Establish the Contractors Inspection, Monitoring and Audit programme for the project Establish the Project QC documentation retention requirements Establish the Quality Control Documents to be used on the project including those used for Subcontractor inspection records and handover. Distribute Quality Control procedures and documentation to personnel, Client and Contractor as required (in conjunction with Field Engineer) Witness and inspection as required including Contractors NDE documentation Monitoring of the Company and Contractor�s QC system Audit and review in accordance with the established programme, and any further audits deemed necessary Establish and maintain the Non-conformance record system Assistance to Construction Manager as required The works are situated on the Fellside Boiler Park @ Sellafield Ltd, Cumbria Multi-discipline Construction Management and Commissioning. Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Insulation, Electrical and Instrumentation works on an Auxiliary Boiler Plant Duration of work is until Jan 2013 Individual will be required to complete a Drug & Alcohol Test as part of Sellafield site procedures. Requirements ONC/HND or considerable OTJ experience Previous experience required in a Construction QA/QC role. Ability and experience in overseeing multi discipline contractors will be an advantage along with good safety experience and awareness. The ability to manage and interact with personnel from the Client operations and contractors is necessary.
