The purpose of the project is to ensure that the department operates to its very best ability in terms of ensuring correct set up of new customers, managing of existing accounts and creating the best environment for effective collections. Whilst a very well established organisation, the company has been through rapid change and acquired other businesses with a growth programme which means a doubling of turnover over the next the years. The organisation needs to be ready for this and indeed the Credit Control department initially needs to review its processes and procedures to be able to cope with a rapid increase in volumes of work whilst driving down customer debt and maintaining a healthy cash-flow. It is the intention that the organisation will have a long term position for someone who pursues excellence and can take a helicopter view of the business in order to push through strategic change to drive efficiencies. The successful applicant will have experience of credit management and have worked at a strategic level, liaising with senior management of a large organisation.
