Transport / Logistic Manager
3 month temporary contract based in Swindon as Transport / Logistics Manager Candidates must be an experienced Manager in this filed, you will not look after a fleet of vehicles and its maintenance this role is more to for with the moving of goods using subcontractors and occasional in-house fleet Candidates must be used to a pressurised environments and have the ability to adapt and work in a demanding fast pace. You must have experience of logistics, planning loads (especially regarding a variety of different consignments, these loads can vary in size etc thus the Logistics Manager must have the ability to think outside the box as to what will fit on what load etc as it is quite complex kit that you will be transporting) . You will have good management skills as you will work closely with Project Managers who are based on the Clients site and thus the Logistics Manager needs to be able to advise them of what needs to go on what load, however, they will dictate to you when the load needs to be moved!) Roles require really good planning skills with the ability to not let the pressure get to you! A fabulous contract to work on if you love a challenge!! Salary will be based on a pro rata salary of £30 -40k Hours are normal Transport hours, the company’s core office hours are a 40 hour week, however, like in every Logistics / Transportation role this requires a huge amount of flexibility as we all know in the arena there is not such a thing as normal hours...
