Project Co-ordinator (Council) CONTRACT, Part time Wellingborough is an attractive market town in North Northamptonshire, full of historical character and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Exciting plans are in place to develop the borough, with the town centre being the focus of major investment. Position: Project Co-ordinator Location: Wellingborough Salary: Starting Salary of £19,621 with the potential of £23,708 Pro rata Benefits: Flexible working arrangements, final salary pension scheme, personal and professional development opportunities, town centre location and free car parking. Duration: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract with possible extension Hours: Part Time - 15 hours a week Closing Date: Monday 6th August Interviews: 13th/ 14th/ 15th August 2012 ROLE: They are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Project Co-ordinator who can provide an additional resource to the Planning Policy and Regeneration team whilst the Wellingborough Heritage Initiative Project is being undertaken. This will involve being part of the team working on the Wellingborough Heritage Initiative and general day to day work on projects which will involve producing and monitoring project documentation and project managing small projects within the Planning Policy and Regeneration team, working closely with two other Project Co-ordinators to ensure a consistent approach. ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) Good education (preferably graduate degree level). b) Relevant experience of working within local authorities or similar projects is preferred. c) Good IT knowledge. d) Experience of writing and presenting reports to Committees, monitoring budgets, developing communication strategies and conducting regular consultation events. e) You will be self motivated and committed to providing a quality service, with a flexible work attitude and have the ability to work as part of a team or without close supervision.
