Our client, a global presence in the media industry, is seeking a QA Lead for a major mobile initiative. This is a very high-profile/high visibility project and requires a tremendous communicator to lead the testing efforts. This Lead will not only be responsible for documentation, analysis and testing, but will also be asked to continuously be a driving force internally to ensure the project is coming along timely. The right resource will be the Subject Matter Expert for all mobile testing efforts, and will be asked to lead teams both on site and offshore. Responsibilities: . Lead the QA testing efforts for a large mobile initiative, which involves smooth translation for a leading website (currently developed in Flash) to iOS devices, which Flash does not currently translate to . Interact with Development teams daily, making sure any objections or changes made are tested properly and running smoothly . Identify current and future risks, and mitigate those risks accordingly . Create reports, review tests cases, test plans and test scripts . Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mobile testing; Take full responsibility for the mobile testing of the entire initiative . Manage offshore resources and a few on-site resources . Be an active participant in daily stand-up meetings, reporting on the offshore teams’ progress from the previous night; Also actively participate in break-out sessions . Successfully lead teams, but roll up the sleeves and do hands-on testing when needed Required Skills: . 5+ years experience hands-on Quality Assurance testing, preferably in a lead role . 2+ years experience leading Mobile Testing initiatives for the iOS platform . 2+ years experience in an Agile Testing environment . Experience with Jira, Quality Center (QC) and QTP is highly preferred . Ability to run automated scripts and understanding of the role of Automation and Performance in the testing process . True understanding of iOS platform and how to accurately test for transferring data from a traditional website to a mobile device (specifically iPad and iPhone) . True understanding of memory leakage, performance testing, how to test limits to force a device to crash; Experience with actual Mobile projects, not just testing the front-end, UI component . Strong communication and leadership skills; Must have experience managing people (and expectations) as well as really like working in QA and have a desire to “spread the word” .
