SharePoint Developer Washington, DC Title: SharePoint Developer Duration: 12 months Location: Richmond, VA and Washington, DC Interview Type: Phone and In-person Using high level business requirements, work with the SharePoint Program Office to design, build out and/or configure client solutions in SharePoint 2010. Developer will be responsible for developing applications around the core concepts of business process management, collaboration, business intelligence or enterprise content management. This position works within an integrated team environment to analyze, design, develop, test, and debug cutting edge web-based solutions for agency customers. Each project will involve technical skills ranging from SharePoint deployment and configuration, extending SharePoint APIs, and the development of custom forms, workflows and web parts. Responsibilities Apply knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and .NET platforms and programming languages. Develop and design specifications and unit test plans and troubleshoot client issues. Participate in writing systems documents, including use case design documents and support user acceptance testing. Provide innovative use of SharePoint infrastructure for storing data customizing search and storing documents by integrating external tools into the SharePoint framework. Design, Build, and Implement SharePoint portals to satisfy the business and data needs of an organization Work closely with end-users, the customer and other stakeholders to coordinate plans and activities that affect the assigned projects. Provide technical leadership to contract and agency management in the development, maintenance and application of developing SharePoint technologies as they apply to agency needs. Participate with consultants and vendors in assessment of systems and databases subject to SharePoint applications and use. Perform other related assignments as assigned. Skills/Attributes Outstanding understanding of business requirements and IT strategies Full lifecycle experience in architecting large scale scalable applications, Outstanding understanding of programming / systems analysis, quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and movement functions Experience and knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques, including exception handling. At least 5 years of related software development experience in support of large, complex, or enterprise-wide solutions 3 + years of experience in developing and deploying solutions in Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010: Strong understanding of the SharePoint 2007 and 2010 frameworks as an application development platform to build custom SharePoint assemblies and artifacts (Web parts, event receivers, BDC/BCS, list definitions, Web templates, and features) Solid knowledge of PowerShell to administer and support a SharePoint solution. Experience in SharePoint 2010 branding, including master pages and page layouts development Proven experience in InfoPath 2007/2010 forms development Solid experience developing custom SP2010 workflows using SPD2010 and Visual Studio. 4 + years of experience with developing .NET Web applications and leveraging Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, ADO.NET, WWF, VB, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, WCF Web Services, SSRS and SQL Server.
