Job Summary: The Tele-Health Nurse is responsible for providing care to individuals or defined patient populations through the use of telecommunications in accordance with Nurse Practice Act and licensure guidelines. He/She uses critical thinking and communication skills to assess, plan, implement, educate and evaluate patient outcomes. Job Description: The Tele-Health Nurse will perform all or some of the following Job description: Use nursing best practices to provide telephonic nursing support within licensure guidelines, Nurse Practice Act, and program requirements Provide care to individuals or defined patient populations through the use of telecommunications in accordance with computer-based protocols and guidelines Use the defined process, adhere to nursing standards, company policies and shared principles when providing clinical assessments and health education Use nursing processes to identify patient care needs, risk and safety issues, educational opportunities, and appropriate health care referrals Process calls based on Quality Management guidelines Demonstrate compliance with all manufacturer and product specific regulations. Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Tele-Health Nurse Job Basic computer skills Ability to communicate via telephone with members/customers and provide good customer service Good listening skills Ability to demonstrate professional oral and written communication Ability to demonstrate sound clinical judgment in accordance with Nurse Practice Act Ability to make decisions that adhere to policy using basic critical thinking skills Self-motivated Ability to ask for assistance and guidance Ability to adapt to change Ability to effectively manage time. Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Tele-Health Nurse Job Current RN license in good standing and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
