Our client is looking for a Project Manager with primary responsibility for delivery of key projects. The PM will lead project teams focused on delivering a diverse range of application and infrastructure projects. In addition, the PM will work to improve project management practices and ensure compliance with the Global IT PMO and SDLC processes and tools. This position is in Deerfield, Illinois. The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * 7+ years of successfully leading multiple, concurrent, complex IT application and infrastructure projects through all phases of the project management life cycle * Demonstrated ability to create, improve and adhere to project management, solution delivery, IT governance and other processes * Demonstrated leadership presence including the ability to effectively communicate complex issues to management * Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and communicate across all levels of the organization, negotiate and influence across groups, and build consensus * Strong organizational skills with demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills * Ability to work with virtual teams in a global organization and demonstrated awareness of cultural differences across geographic boundaries * Proficiency in common tools used in portfolio, program and project management including MS Project, Team Foundation System (TFS), MS Office, Visio, and HP PPM * Previous experience with human resources systems is desired * Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred; advanced degree is a plus * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required * Program Management Professional certification (PgMP) is a plus
