Program Manager - Agile / SCRUM . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
This opening is for a senior level project/program management position within the IT Program Management Office (PMO) that utilizes program management disciplines leading projects to optimize IT investments that support business strategies. This position is an individual contributor and does not have direct reports, but may supervise and serve as a mentor within the PMO. This position will report directly to the CTO. Primary Responsibilities: Manages large to extra-large, highly complex projects ensuring the overall successful delivery of IT-related project efforts Build and maintain relationships across the organization, with IT and key business areas which rely on successful IT project implementation Must Haves: Understanding of the business/industry or application development PM experience Managed other PM's - small group of PM's Energy and passion for a start up Flexible - may have to work long hours, possible travel involved, due to HQ on the east coast Agile experience - 100% Agile/Scrum environment Experience managing scrum teams - looking to combine the PM & Scrum Master into one role Budget and cost experience - will oversee the budget and spend of IT group Handle multiple customers/vendors Skills, Educational Background and Experience: Master's degree (MBA, MS, MA) or equivalent, or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of ten years' experience working within IT or PMO environment In depth understanding with project management and portfolio management best practices Strong SDLC background with experience in complex multi-system projects Excellent, verbal, written and listening communication skills Excellent time management, project management and organizational skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to include reasoning skills such as storage, retrieval, matching and execution skills Proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel; in the use of project management software such as Clarity Ability to make measurable progress on multiple high priority task simultaneously Ability to work both independently collaboratively with customers, peers and other stakeholders Ability to understand and analyze complex problems with multiple complex variables Ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the organization Preferences: MBA or MIS Certification with Project Management Institute (PMI) e.g. PMP Please apply online and forward all resumes to Graham Houck: ghouck@kforce.com
