You’ll be joining a fast-paced team that is striving to build a first-class digital commerce platform and nurture a growing gaming community, all while maintaining the company’s websites. As a go-to writer for their websites, you should be able to: Pitch and write compelling blog articles Craft on-tone headlines and short copy Provide instructional and UX copy on an as-needed basis Understand and contribute to our evolving style guides Navigate complex marketing plans Stay in-step with shifting deadlines and messages Write confidently—both with and without guidance Position Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years experience in journalism or editorial writing Excellent written and verbal communication skills A love for precision and a passion for proper grammar A more than passing familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style (or AP) Experience successfully managing multiple projects and working directly with cross-functional teams Deep familiarity with video games and video game culture Knowledge of basic HTML A high level of comfort with CMS and blogging tools
