Junior Marketing and Sales (Medical Engineering)
Experis Engineering is seeking a bright and energetic sales and marketing person who can develop relationships with established and prospective customers, and increase business through effective marketing techniques. Our client is an engineering development firm specializing in the design of medical devices and automation equipment for a variety of companies in the Silicon Valley. The scope of our clients projects includes the medical product design, prototyping, and the manufacturing of the equipment we develop on a contract basis. This is a contract to hire opportunity located in Morgan Hill, CA. Additional Responsibilities: Overseeing development and/or administration of marketing program, including customer development, public and client relations, and client data management. Assisting engineering in research and preparation of marketing strategies and plans to develop new clients. Serving as liaison with the media regarding news and events, including developing advertising, press releases, creating media lists, and distributing releases. Overseeing publication of collateral materials, brochures, biographies, engineering case histories, corporate events, direct mailings, and website content review, update and maintenance. This includes managing, editing, proofreading, and producing the firm's newsletter. Identifying topics and developing presentations for business development meetings and facilitating communication in the Medical development community. Promote and coordinate seminars and the Forums. Developing proposal materials for potential clients, including gathering relevant information, drafting cover letters and assembling supporting marketing materials. Working with engineers to identify speaking opportunities and developing presentations including PowerPoint slideshows. The ideal candidate must have superior computer skills, including Microsoft Word/Excel, advanced knowledge of Power Point, and Web Site development as well as knowledge of marketing strategies utilizing the Internet and social media including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential in order to effectively manage numerous calendar and event deadlines. The ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects is essential, as is keen attention to detail combined with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. A successful person will report directly to the CEO and help provide the direction of the sales and marketing activities. This is a full-time, sales and marketing position. Required: A Bachelor of Science degree in Biosciences or Engineering is required.
