Mechanical Engineer
The Mechanical Engineer will be a support/design role following directions from supervisor and executing project deliverables from start to finish. Duties: Responsibilities: As the Engineer you will be supporting the designs of projects assigned to a supervisor including planning, design, production of Mechanical building systems including heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, hydronic systems, and plumbing systems using REVIT, and performing calculations, sizing equipment and performing computer analysis of alternate systems. Coordinating technical and administrative activities with those of other disciplines and other departments in the company participating in the project. Conducting constructability reviews or assists in the design, planning, review of other mechanical engineering projects not assigned to the incumbent. Reviewing plans and prepares or reviews technical specifications, contract documents and estimates. Interacting and coordinating with architects and clients as it relates to technical design. Qualifications: Essential skills and experience: Proficiency in REVIT 10 years minimum experience in the Mechanical Engineering field related to facilities work Proficient or ability to learn COMCHECK, Trane Trace and other mechanical software or equivalent. Proficient or ability to learn AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and other software. Prove legal right to work in the U.S. Proficient in Revit License Requires Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This will require driving your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided), walking job site to observe key elements or issues, to meet with other parties and discuss issues related to project and/or to gain knowledge about work to be performed. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, job site noise may be significantly different than office environment noise.
