Advantage Tech is looking for a candidate to join our team as a Web Content Administrator in Kansas City, MO to provide onsite support to our client. This position will be responsible for providing web support and maintenance, web design and content management. Job Responsibility: Partner with the GSA PBS IT Branch to initiate, develop, and complete web projects defined by GSA business needs. These customer driven projects result in solutions implemented through GSA web portals, procured applications or custom web page and web applications for both internal and external websites. Assist with migrating to the use of portals for publishing web content for both internal and external audiences. Development includes work with HTML, CSS, XML, ASP, PHP, JavaScript, SharePoint, Google, Wordpress and basic database design, Adobe Web Premium (Dreamweaver CS4, Illustrator and Photoshop). Web support and maintenance, web design, content management, COTS web tool implementation, customization, and usage, database driven web pages, project management. Design and manage databases used by web pages and applications Design, develop, and maintain custom web solutions according to defined customers’ needs Produce database driven web pages that allow browser based content management Maintain content on existing web pages and functionality of existing web applications Research web solutions for recommended procurement Customize commercial web solutions according to defined customer needs Research and resolve web related security vulnerabilities Research evolving technologies for opportunities to apply to existing or new solutions Contribute to web knowledge base Coordinate with regional or national teams to develop and maintain GSA web standards for all sites Incorporate multimedia elements such as graphics, flash animations or video into GSA web sites, Slide Show presentations and Internal News Letters or other required media Create new pages or submit content updates to existing pages through portal interfaces using WYSIWIG or HTML Submit events, news, and contact information through the portal Develop and maintain a critical milestone schedule that documents the most important schedule issues for management attention Document all Change Requests (CRs) and application modifications, including documentation of sign-off procedures (i.e., for requirements) Support change management and risk management activities Report project status to team leader at weekly status meetings and participate in program management reviews, project team meetings and walk-through/design reviews Provide recommendations to address any schedule or cost variance associated with project plans Report problems, or potential problems, affecting performance to the attention of the team leader as soon as possible; verbal reports are followed up with written reports when directed by the team leader Submit monthly progress reports summarizing tasks accomplished and status of current projects Meet with customers Face to Face initially to discuss requirements, and ongoing to discuss project progress, (this requires that the majority of work be done onsite) Train employees on the use of developed web applications Develop Google Sites for projects and various teams. Install, configure, develop and maintain the R6 Leadership (includes Regional Administrator, PBS and FAS Regional Commissioners) Blog. Provide IT Support for the R6 Mobility Test Bed by researching and recommending various IT solutions. Required Skills: Must be able to obtain NACI government Clearance. Bachelor’s Degree in Related field. Knowledge of Java web development, PHP. Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Understanding of web design. Knowledge of any relational database.
