As a Web Design Specialist, you will partner closely with Usability, business and IT teams to uncover the customer's vision of easy-to-use applications and work with the teams to make that vision a reality. User Experience designers provide creative vision, solutions and cross-platform technical expertise that includes but is not limited to: Job Responsibilities: - Coding websites and applications in HTML and its many flavors: HTML, CSS, etc. - Brand identity (logo design, color schemes, complete look & feel) - All forms of print materials (wall banners, posters, etc.) - Full Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc. - Image manipulation & Web optimization - Assist in developing and maintaining websites. - Develop site content and graphics. - Effectively communicate design rationale both verbally and visually to project stakeholders - Research new user-centered design techniques, methodologies and guidelines - Educate project teams on the value of user-centered design - Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary organization that includes project management, business analysts, technical architects, technical leads, and technical developers Job Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design or related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a corporate design setting - Proficient with HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript - Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Dreamweaver - Experience with Flash and other rich media web designs is a plus. - Strong customer relationship management skills - Excellent presentation skills - Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team - Strong work ethic and ability to be an effective team player. - Handles multiple tasks, switches priorities and focuses as needed - A portfolio of projects must be available for review Discover all that's possible with Yoh.
