TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking an Windows System Administrator with an active Public Trust Clearance for one of our clients in Washington, D. C. JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Windows Systems Administrator must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision; he/she must be accustomed to working in a fast-paced, multi-contractor, disciplined environment with strong configuration management controls, policies and procedures. This is a high-visibility position, requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills. General duties will include routine help-desk support on a rotating basis, new server racking, installation and configuration, Active Directory migration and maintenance, server patch installation and maintenance, application installation and configuration, and other general server administration activities. LOCATION: Washington, DC SECURITY CLEARANCE: Public Trust SCHEDULE: Full Time REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is desirable but a High-School Diploma is acceptable 5-8 Years professional experience as a Windows Systems Administrator Windows Administration (Windows 2003 / 2008 Server Enterprise Edition) Active Directory design, implementation and management Network configuration, implementation and management Server installation, configuration and maintenance Application software installations Server imaging and restoration OS patch installation and management OS hardening Ability to troubleshoot server problems and quickly identify and remedy issues Cisco Catalyst 6500 and 3750 switches Virtual Machine technologies Network monitoring using tools such as HP OpenView Hardware/Software audits in accordance with established policies, procedures, configuration guidelines and service level agreements (SLA’s) Policy creation and maintenance Ability to evaluate, create and/or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) One or more related technical certifications (such as MCSE) preferred TAD PGS, INC. specializes in delivering secure, reliable and rapidly implemented workforce solutions to the U.S. Federal marketplace, including U.S. Government agencies and their prime contractors.
