We are currently seeking a Database Application Support Analyst. This is a GREAT opportunity to work in the banking industry for one of the Top 20 largest Public Companies in the World. This is a 6 month contract. 5+ years experience. Client interfacing various support roles. May also be considered Application Support. Should have strong database support skills (Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server, etc), strong OS support with Windows, experience with job scheduling tools, strong scripting knowledge (Examples include Perl, Korn, Shell, etc), experience with specific financial area support. Excellent Communication and Presentation skills and the ability to handle pressure. Candidate will be initially tasked with taking raw log information and providing several reports weekly in support of a decommission effort. Ability to keep multiple general goals in mind while providing detailed information when needed. Must have a good conceptual vision of data and how to summarize in various ways. Secondary goal will be to accept and vet questions either answering (with standardized answers) or escalating when needed. At this time, we are unable to engage candidates that require sponsorship.
