Thank You!   Job Title: Storage/Linux Systems Administrator Location: Santa Clara, CA Terms: W-2 Contract Duration: 6 Month + Compensation: Based On Experience   Position Overview ·          The Storage/Linux System Administrator position will report directly to the IT Manager and will work closely with the IT Team on day-to-day basis. ·          The primary responsibility will be the support and development of Linux Infrastructure systems.  ·          Document and assess current Linux architecture.  ·          Make recommendations and implement changes as directed.  ·          Provide direct support for upcoming office move.   Responsibilities ·          Assess Linux NIS Architecture – Provide a report ·          Assess Linux based services: NIS, DNS, NFS, etc. – Provide a Report ·          Assess current Linux backups and backup procedures – Provide a Report ·          Assess current NetApp installation – Provide a report ·          Document current servers in Santa Clara and prep as necessary for move. ·          Some administration of user accounts, passwords, security groups ·          Remote support for other locations as required. ·          Work with the other IT teams on special projects as required.   Requirements ·          University or college graduate majoring in the areas of computer science or computer information systems (equivalent experience will be given consideration) ·          Certification in RedHat Linux ·          Minimum of 5 years experience with RedHat Linux desktop operating systems ·          Minimum of 5 years computer hardware experience with strong background in server hardware, desktop support and break fix procedures ·          Minimum 5 years supporting NetApp Storage devices – Must be familiar with all forms of Snap ·          Prior experience with IT rollout projects involving Unix/Linux operating systems and applications ·          Minimum of 5 years experience in supporting, Web, DNS, NIS, NFS, Sendmail, Apache, PHP, MySQL, Bind DNS, Linux, kickstart, etc. ·          Minimum of 5 years experience with TCP/IP networks and hosts ·          Prior experience with Legato is preferred ·          Strong people skills, customer service attitude and ability to work well with others ·          Ability to be flexible and work with a fast paced and dynamic organization ·          Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills ·          Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.   Keywords: Storage Administration Linux Administration RedHat Linux NetApp Storage
