Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst
Amgen Job Description As part of the Corporate Functions Information Systems team, this role will be responsible for managing high priority projects for our Worldwide Compliance and Business Ethics business department. By leading initiatives with significant complexity, this role will act as a strategic IS partner to deliver projects with high quality results and business impact. The position will utilize leadership qualities to successfully influence outcomes, communicate with all levels of the organization, facilitate development of solutions to critical business issues, and effectively define objectives to enable effective metrics generation and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Leadership of multi-faceted, critical, and highly visible project teams Able to scope projects by including translating strategy into actionable objectives Effectively leverage RUP or similar project management methodologies to deliver projects within approved scope, schedule and budget Manages project staff (including Amgen, consultant, and vendor) to include work allocation, scheduling, training and professional development, problem resolution and related supervisory activities Regularly communicate with stakeholders and executive sponsors on project status, issues, and plans for resolution Align and prioritize workload in accordance with business strategy and objectives Ability to drive project team with meeting milestone goals on time, on budget, and within scope Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree OR Master's degree & 3 years of directly related experience OR Bachelor's degree & 5 years of directly related experience OR Associate's degree & 10 years of directly related experience OR High school diploma / GED & 12 years of directly related experience Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field is preferred - 5 years of IT project management experience with demonstrated track record of success in multiple complex projects, preferably by using RUP project management methodology - Knowledge of project management best practices. - Certification as a Project Manager Professional (PMP) - Experience supporting corporate compliance business functions - Demonstrates expert skills in team leadership and conflict management - Experience supervising, mentoring or coaching staff Track record of building or participating as a member of high performing teams - Ability to work with multiple teams, delegating work load and ensuring team efficiency Displays consistent flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulness Demonstrates courage and self-confidence in dealing with issues and in broadly communicating information across the organization; strong communication and interpersonal skills - Financial acumen to support business case generation and cost/benefit analyses - Budgeting knowledge sufficient to ensure that budgets are tracked accurately - Executive communication experience to including written and oral presentations - Demonstrated ability to navigate through ambiguity and provide a structured problem solving approach - Ability to identify, assess and resolve complex business problems/issue/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation. - Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Word, MS Project, Visio, Clarity, SAP financials Auto req: 16424BR Career Category: Information Systems Employee Subgroup: Salaried FT
