We are seeking a Linux System Administrator for a long term contract with a large Government client in Brooklyn. • Very strong experience and in-depth knowledge of installing,administering and maintaining SuSe or RedHat Linux servers • Experience in deploying web based application in a clustering environment. • Experience with installing open source software on Linux systems, such as Apache, Heartbeat. • Experience in monitoring the performance of server based hardware and software. Ability to generate reports and troubleshoot system performance • Create and follow through on change control for any modifications to the organization’s software or hardware infrastructure • Familiarity with HP servers. Ability to install Linux OS and updating all the firmware needed to bring the server up to specifications.
