Training Executive (12 Month Contract)
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Training Executive to join our busy Dispute Resolution practice group. The role is responsible for the management and administration of the Practice Group training programme. As the Training Executive your main responsibilities will involve: To assist in the organisation, establishment, development and operation of the Practice Group training programme, which includes events; seminars, courses and conferences. To assist in the arrangement of training dates and the full implementation of the training programme. To work on an initial brief and define detailed requirements for various events. Negotiate rates with external providers. To give staff members advice on pre-event and on-site management of events. To assist in delegate registration and to liaise with internal and external speakers and attendees. · To prepare and produce, collate and catalogue training materials. To creatively advertise training events and maintain training timetables and the register of training event attendees with regular data entry and to produce attendance, cancellation, cost and feedback/evaluation reports. To ensure good attendance at all events. To supervise the logging of all CPD points for the Practice Group, and to support associates and partners in the run up to the end of the CPD year, if they do not have enough points. To produce the monthly training programme and its issuance to the Practice Group. To co-ordinate the master library collection of electronic training materials and to arrange for copying and distribution and central registration of training videos, DVDs and principally, webcasts. To supervise the booking of all external conference, training and seminar requests. To source venues. To be responsive to individual associates' needs and queries on training. To nominate associates for training after appraisal, recognising training needs. Attend cross-Practice Group meetings relating to training. Liaise with Learning & Development regarding nominations for skills workshops and development programmes. To assist in the co-ordination of Practice Group and team conferences, and provide full support at conferences. Maintain training area of the DR Wiki. As the Training Executive your skills and qualifications must include: Experience within a Legal or Professional Services company Experience as an events organiser, preferably with experience of corporate events. Excellent events operational skills and experience in dealing directly with clients/senior management. Strong scheduling skills-ideally within an equivalent position Excellent IT literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Wiki.
