We're building a subscription commerce company similar to The product is very different, but if you take a look at their site, you'll get a feel for the type of images we need. I'v run a bunch of tests on similar businesses and it is clear that the key is having fantastic images that really sell the product. We are trying to tell a very emotionally engaging story. Our product relies on a bit of nostalgia to convey the value proposition. I'm envisioning showing a vintage looking photo (something from when you or your parents were kids) with a child and adult. That picture would dissolve into the modern pictures that you will take. This will make more sense once I'm able to show you what I mean, but the visitors to our site should be moved to tears by your work. Your job will be to: (1) identify the vintage stock photos (I have identified a few 'ok' ones, but have some specific types of family moments I'd like captured) (2) create the 'modern' images with people receiving, unpacking and enjoying our product. You may need to acquire some stuff that would ordinarily go in the box. If you do and aren't able to return the items after the shoot, I will reimburse you (ideally we get stuff that can be returned). (3) Use you Photoshop skills to make the vintage pictures and modern pictures looks great together. This is going to be very important. There could be 5-10 pairs of images and we need them to all look good together AND look good with the rest of the site's design. I'm holding off on starting the site design so that I can build it around the style of the photography, however, I definitely have a notion of how the images should look. Hoping you can blow me away with your creativity. (4) Take some fantastic product shots. People definitely want to get an idea about what goes in a box, but most product photos suck, especially for what we need. One of the challenges is that we need to show people with our shipping container. That container does not yet exist. You'll have to use a similar cardboard box (again see to get an idea about what I mean) as a stand in. You'll then need to make that box look like the iconic box we will ultimately be shipping goods in. You should be VERY comfortable with image manipulation to do this. We'll agree on the images we want to capture and you'll deliver on each. I'm looking forward to working with you. You SHOULD NOT bid on this unless you are based in the United States AND have a substantial portfolio that I can review.
