Design - Help surfwarehouse.com with a new logo
Name to incorporate in the logo surfwarehouse.com Slogan to incorporate in the logo None specified. Description of the organization and its target audience SurfWarehouse.com is a shopping comparison website dedicated to surfing and surf lifestyle products. SurfWarehouse.com was created by a surfer, for surfers, and shoppers alike and assists them in finding the best surf products and deals on the web, from all the top online surf shops and merchants--all from one site, SurfWarehouse.com! SurfWarehouse.com allows shoppers to browse entire product catalogs and offerings from many of the best online surf shops and surf-related merchants, with the ability to refine search results based on specific brands, price ranges, stores and more. SurfWarehouse.com's target audience is a balanced mix between male and female (approx 50/50), with ages ranging from 10-45+, with most of our users between 14-28 years old. To be used on Online (Website, online advertising, banner ads etc) Notes We're looking for a youthful, yet modern "webby 2.0" look and feel for our new logo. We like logos that have a fun, light, youthful feel to them, with nice shades of blue, a rounded corners, gradients, etc. Some logos we like are from Twitter, Skype, Technorati, etc. **NOTE: Design Brief updated in paragraph below on 16 Jul 2012 9:45PDT (sorry for the late additions, but it is optional). Updated where there are 2 stars => ** The new logo will be used in the header area on our website, www.surfwarehouse.com, and thus horizontal-based logos (small height, longer width). We're looking for a logo with the surfwarehouse.com text and a small abstract **search/magnifying glass** or house/warehouse symbol off to the side (right or left) of the text, similar to say Twitter's logo with the small blue tweeter bird on the right or Technorati.com's logo with the small green abstract quote symbol on the left. In summary, we'd love to see our surfwarehouse.com text in a great, fun font style and a cool/abstract colorful (blue/orange/?) house/warehouse symbol off to either the left or right. No surfboards please. Most likely no waves either unless you can work some magic while still handling the other desires/requirements. We want the ability to use "different parts" of our logo, i.e. the text (surfwarehouse.com) and the symbol off to the side, separately, similar to Twitter or Technorati. I hope it makes sense to all. The **search/magnifying glass** or house/warehouse symbol will be an important part of the logo, similar to Twitter's bird is to Twitter. We like for example the size and style of technorati.com's bubble symbol off to the side. Something like this but an abstract warehouse would be great. NOTE: If you create the house/warehouse shape somehow out of the letters 'S' and 'W', this would be ideal *** we added a crude example to our brief. This would allow us to easily use just the 'symbol' part of our logo, if we want, instead of the text too. ** Again, the symbol can be either a cool/abstract search/magnifying glass or a house/warehouse shape out of the letters S & W using your best creativity. ** The text of surfwarehouse.com can be all upper case or all lower case. Also, the '.com' can be positioned anywhere (it doesn't have to be same scale, orientation, etc and next to surfwarehouse). We also like the design of the logo to be fairly easy to modify/change the colors in the future. Example, to have it be white (for overlay on a darker background etc). Similar to how, Facebook and Twitter etc, have both light/white and dark versions of their logos. We want to thank you all for your interest in working on our new logo and for your creative efforts! Thanks, Justin Burns, CEO SurfWarehouse.com Inc.
