Marietta based client is looking for a SQL Server Report Developer to design and develop a cornerstone reporting solution with a focus on managed and ad hoc reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 (SSRS). You need to have high proficiency in the analysis and design of report requirements as well as proven experience in delivering report solutions. This project is scheduled to go 1 + years. Experience and Skills required - 2+ years development work in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 including understanding of filters, group by, drill down, charts, graphs, aggregates, and basic statistics (percentages, averages, medians). Visual Studio 2008 development with concentration in Report Projects, and Visual SourceSafe and report deployment. Knowledge and use of XML (Report Definition Language). Knowledge of SQL 2008 Server programming, stored procedures, datasets and shared connections. Ability to design and develop Visual Basic custom code for reports and stored functions. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and SSRS Security site management with proven experience in delivering report solutions. Responsibilities include - Partner with business users and subject matter experts to understand and develop report requirements including report mockups. Analyze complex data systems and document data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies and make recommendations based on findings. Assist in creation of ad hoc reports using regular expressions and consistent with business needs using SQL Server Reporting Services 2008. Design and develop stored procedures and views necessary to support SSRS Managed reports. Assist with defining and implementing the security model for the reporting environment leveraging Active Directory groups and users.
