This position will be charged with maintaining and improving the server system architecture for our client's datacenter and to also ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Senior Windows System Administrator with strong SQL skills Summary of essential job functions Work with other team members to administer and manage a network server environment comprised of Microsoft, VMware, and EMC, including SQL, and Exchange Conduct systematic performance tuning on both windows Servers and SQL database servers. Strong SQL skills are a must Deploy production changes for Windows and SQL servers Recommend new designs and implement new systems on the network by conducting research on new products and how to properly implement them Results are measured by the effectiveness and efficiency of the product and the installation Stay abreast of latest product upgrades to ensure that all systems software is as up to date as possible. Results are measured by the efficiency of the upgrade as well as the impact on the network and user community Log all changes made to the network and infrastructure utilizing existing tracking systems. Results are measured by the creation of an auditable log referencing all system changes Thorough understanding of both dedicated server environments as well as virtual/cloud based environments Provide an escalation point for help desk issues in support of corporate IT infrastructure Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field 10 years of experience in Windows Server Administration 5 years of experience in SQL database administration English: Fluent Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
