Job Description: TEMPORARY, TEMP-TO-HIRE, AND DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITIES!!!!! Primary responsibilities will be to machine small volume plastic parts needed for the production floor. This includes ordering the necessary materials and machining quality parts in a timely fashion to meet the needs of production work orders. As this is a new position working on new equipment, it is important for this individual to understand they will be responsible for all of the initial work required to make everything operational. Knowledge & Skill Requirements: - This individual must have basic reading, writing and some advanced arithmetic skills along with a solid ability to read prints and inspect parts. - This individual must possess solid machine shop skills including the set-up of lathes, milling machines and creating programs and fixtures needed to produce repeatable parts. Job Experience: - Must have the ability to work independently. - Must be able to write Standard Operating Procedures for all new programs and work with the documentation group to get these recorded. - Good housekeeping skills is a must. - Must work with the mindset of Continuous Improvement. - must be able to work with engineers, planners and operators, excellent communication skills are a must. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. - Ability to troubleshoot equipment is also helpful. - Trade school training or equivalent and 3+ years experience required (CNC experience is considered a must). - Be able to fabricate simple assembly and holding fixtures from prints, sketches, and provided samples or verbal instructions. - Occasionally may be required to work in area where solutions are manufactured. - Ability to teach/train other operators to recognize potential mechanical issues. - Working knowledge of ACAD or Solid Works is considered as a plus.
