The book cover should clearly show the wealth (gold ring, cufflink) of the messenger and the poverty (torn, faded sleeve) of the young woman (20-ish). The woman is actively opening the door, the man is reaching for the door, but not pushing on it. The latch on the door can be of any type as long as it fits the time period. Only the arms of the two people should show. The colors of the Kingdom are blue and gold, so that should be the color scheme.
