I wish to create a website for all Student Organizations at Virginia Commonwealth University. This is to unite the student population. I have a few things in mind: I wish to have an interactive calendar on the front page. Organizations from VCU must primarily register to this website with a vcu.edu e-mail. These respective organizations can post their events for the upcoming school year on this interactive calendar. This calendar must be filtered and approved by the President or Vice President of each organization to be hosted onto the main page of the site. This allows for events and updates to be visible to the VCU community. I wish to have a special section on this site for Organization Communication. From the main page, I wish to have a link for Organization access. These Organization tabs can allow for individual users to register/associate with an organization and view the organization page. I want members of the organizations to use this page to plan for organization events. I want an interactive reminders list (much like apple's reminders feature) so that members can accomplish events and check off things when they have accomplished the task for event planning. Likewise, for planning purposes, I want several local businesses to be able to upload their own products on the site. Several organizations need food for their event. So if a restaurant, say Aurora Restaurant, wants to post deals for food, then members of the organizations can access restaurants to contact from this page. This allows for event planning to be effortless. Outside of the organization link from the main page, I wish to have a separate link for TALENTS. I want people to be able to upload their own profiles and talents onto this site. In this situation, people can search music and bands. These people with talents can set certain prices that organizations can pay in order to buy out this talent or person for their event. Examples: magicians, musicians, bands, dance groups. But as the primary page, I wish to see an interactive calendar for all events on campus to be seen and viewed by all with a vcu e-mail.
